A study on rounded lines, modularity and design that activate connections and communication
Like the plant from which it takes its name, whose leaves appearance combine tension with roundness, Aloe (2021) lounge chair makes the apparent contrast the distinctive feature of its elegant design. Smooth and tense, the outer surface of the shell contrasts with an inner section that emphasises the softness of the parts. A stitching detail runs along all edges, from the enveloping armrests to the backrest, whose curve suggests lightness as if effortlessly being bended.
Cinder Block (2020) is a modular sofa system that allows a large s variety of settings through a limited number of elements.
Based on squared modules, the seats are available in three different sizes. They look at the classic proportions of Italian upholstered furniture to build combinations by generous dimensions to enhance the comfort. A tray composed of an inner metal plate covered in leather offers a support surface easily applicable to both the armrests and backrests.
Characterised by the harmonic balance between aesthetic and functionality, Sepal (2020) is a “family” composed of a sofa, lounge chair, dining chairs and dining table. The enveloping soft shapes of the upholstered enhance the comfort of the seat while the metal structure, by avoiding edges, suggests a welcoming feeling of elegance, setting itself as a distinctive design detail that marks the entire family of products.
In a daily life in which we easily move through virtual and remote interactions, Lilin (2019) sofa has been conceived as an invitation to communication and conviviality. The soft shapes and rounded lines of the seat and backrest suggest a welcoming feeling of comfort, while the curve of its structure offers an informal seat position that fosters a relaxed communication.
