A TRIP INTO THE NINETEENTH CENTURY
The name Venexia (2020) alludes to the origins of the designs, initially conceived as urban furniture for the city of Venezia, inspired by the elegance of the street furnishing of the late nineteenth century. The aluminum structure that visually recalls the ancient railings, characterizes the sofas and the armchair, enveloping the generous and rounded forms of the seat with a feeling of lightness and robustness at the same time. The padding in the big, soft cushions is made from recycled materials and completely waterproof, and they are upholstered in exceptionally soft, outdoor fabric.80’S ITALIAN PIAZZAS AESTHETIC, REIMAGINED
The woven plastic chairs were an iconic element in the Italy of the ‘80s, scattered on sidewalks or crowding Piazzas. For Pluvia (2017), the new outdoor stackable chair we recalled that image, rethinking it in a contemporary form. Pluvia’s structure develops through the rounded lines of the aluminium frame, the soft curves of the woven backrest in synthetic fiber are supported by the juxtaposition of materials ensuring stability and comfort.INSPIRED BY THE ANCIENT ROMANAN EXEDRA
At the time of the Ancient Romans, the “exedra” was a semi-circular space where social gatherings and philosophical debates were held. The collection Esedra (2016) takes its name from this element of classical architecture. We created a complete range of furniture for a contemporary outdoor look, establishing a relationship between the various materials, such as the natural feeling synthetic fibre used for the seat-backs, the cushion upholstery fabric and the aluminium legs.
