The new luxury comes from sustainability. Born from apple skin, the Malala Bag.
Modern flair and industrial design meets Italian excellence and savoir-faire in the very first handbag designed by Nichetto Studio. Angela Roi, the New York brand founded in 2012 by the naturalised American designer of Korean origin, and Luca Nichetto, founder of Nichetto Studio, have combined their passion for the craftsmanship and the attention to the environment creating the first Angela Roi bag in apple skin.
THE BAG
With its modern flair and unique lines, Malala represents the essence of elegance combined with a durable and sustainable product, with the ultimate goal of inspiring as many people as possible to make better choices for a better future. Designed in three color variants, the bag’s shape is defined by functional pockets and infinite possibilities for organising space.
Named after Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani female education activist and the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Malala’s concept is based on the idea of a “cabinet of curiosity”, a container trunk that can meet the needs of everyone.
APPLE LEATHER
Derived from products of apple goods, apple leather can transform material otherwise discarded as waste into new raw resources: through this process, apple waste replaces materials of chemical origin in the final product, lowering energy consumption and emissions in the production chain. As all Angela Roi’s products, Malala too is cruelty-free and sweatshop-free.
