Gèmo

It is in the lagoon of Venice that Gèmo lamp finds the roots of its essential lines and its own name. Gèmo, which in Venetian dialect means yarn ball, refers to the distinctive shape and texture of the mouth-blown glass lamp shade. The streaks on its surface suggest the handicraft technique called “molatura”, by which the artisans imprint engravings directly on the glass. The dimmable light emphasizes the intensity of the striped motif while the slim metal legs, available in Black Chrome and Brushed Brass, give Gèmo stability and adaptability in its three versions, as a table, floor and ceiling lamp.
