Heritage

In 1938 Estrid Ericson, Svenskt Tenn founder, held an exhibition featuring objects from Murano. Eighty years later, Heritage exhibition draws again an ideal bridge between the small Italian island in the Venetian lagoon and the city of Stockholm through a celebration of heritages. Within an environment inspired by the prominent work of Josef Frank, Luca Nichetto’s personal upbringing in Murano and mastery in glass design and production, shapes an exhibition that highlights the quality of materials and the richness of different traditions of craftsmanship. A dark blue tone envelops the open space of Heritage where, like tapestries, the classic patterns of Frank’s Terrazzo and Mosaik rugs adorn the walls, prolonging on the floor through a formation of coloured dots. A number of uniquely designed podiums hosts a variety of lamps from Fusa, a collection that pays a tribute to Svenskt Tenn’s design history with a series of precious objects handmade in Murano, that translate into glass the iconic Terrazzo textile print. From the outside, frosted windows only reveal details of the interior, inviting to enter and discover more.
