Pula Bookcase

Created in Botswana, the Pula Family is named after that country’s national currency. The bookcase in the series is made up of five shelves supported by an irregular system of uprights that are scored with a rhythm pattern to reveal richly hued wood from the panga panga tree. Small disks recall the form of a coin and act as connectors between the shelves and the uprights. Combining cutting-edge design and the ancient skill of Botswana’s artisans, the Pula Bookcase is decorative yet highly functional.
