Totemica

The ritual of sharing drinks can be found in cultures across the world. Totemica, at Toronto’s Istituto di Cultura Italiano in 2014, explored this tradition through two collaborations between Luca Nichetto and Lera Moiseeva – the coffee set Sucabaruca and the tea set Aureola, both manufactured by Mjölk and both inspired by the structure of the totem pole. The exhibition unveiled the processes behind the products, as well as celebrating their unique materials and handcrafted elements.
