Troag

On a visit to Lapland, Luca Nichetto discovered the tråg, a canoe-shaped bowl used for crushing fruit and rising bread. Inspired by this object’s form, he created his own boat-shaped Troag in the form of a suspension lamp. Rather than a traditional fabric lampshade, Troag is composed from a single piece of curved wood. Slits in the wood allow the light to travel upwards and downwards, creating an intense light effect that is suited to illuminating both long tables and large open spaces.
