Designs inspired by the vibrant colors of Venezia's iconic boats and the intricate stained glass adorning its historic buildings
Luca Nichetto’s idea of the Canal Chair (2017) came walking in Venice. People, unapologetically sitting in their boats moored to the docks, having a drink, sparked the concept for a new chair. Named after a key feature of the city, Canal’s shape and colorful fabrics evoke the bows of typical Venetian personalised boats. Both the monochrome multi-tone look and the playful color combined version of Canal can be tailored through bespoke embroideries and a variety of legs. A unique version of Canal Chair is available with Luca Nichetto's family crest emblazoned onto it to encourage customisation.
Reflections Rug (2018) reproduces over its surface a design made by the overlapping of various glass reflections. The different scale, colours, textures and refractions inside the objects create elusive and ever changing figures that imagination and perception can freely interpret. The squared size of Reflections Rug makes it suitable to be used both individually or combined with others pieces to create a pattern that extends itself to infinite.
