A collection of decorative lighting redefining the concept of luxury
Parachilna is a Spanish decorative lighting manufacturer born from the love of a luxury tied to the integrity of the design, the quality of the materials and the artisanal craftsmanship. The company supports the few remaining metalsmiths, glass blowers, ceramists and other skilled craftsmen in Europe.
In 2018 we collaborated with Parachilna on the lighting collection Gèmo composed of two table lamps, a floor lamp, and a pendant. Gèmo means ‘yarn ball’ in the Venetian dialect and refers to the distinctive shape and texture of the mouth-blown glass lamp shade, similar to that of a ball of yarn.
The lines on the surface are made using a technique called ‘molatura’, by which the artisans imprint engravings directly on the glass. When the light is on, the striped pattern is highlighted emphasizing the grooves.
